Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS)
Step By Step Learning Group offer adminstration of the ABLLS. The ABLLS is an assessment tool and skills tracking system for children with language and learning difficulties.
The ABLLS consists of 25 skill areas that are broken down into individual tasks that servce as components to communication, daily living, language, play and leisure, socialization, and academics. Many educators use the ABLLS to contibute to an effective and efficient individualized education plan.
Full implementation of the ABLLS can range from 2 to 4 sessions of 1.5 hours per session. The assessment includes direct assessment of the child and a summary report of the child’s skill set. The cost of this assessment is $500.
The ABLLS assessment is supervised by a registered Psychologist in Ontario and thus qualifies as insurable under most private health plans.
